Hidden Treasures in Nature

Nature, Macro Photography, details
Nature

What do you see in the image above?

Maybe you would answer this question by saying that you see a rock, a pond or lake, and a bunch of naked trees with no leaves, and dry branches. Or maybe you'd respond with a more simple answer and say you see nothing. What if I told you that along the well trodden paths of nature, where people walk daily, there's secret beauty waiting to be discovered. This beauty often goes unnoticed because of our rushed routines, but what if we took the time to pause, observe, and truly explore nature. What would you see? What would you discover? Let's take a closer look!

Nature

Pictured here are the roots of a tree surrounded by fallen leaves.

Nature

Here we have a shot of the fungus found on the root of the tree that you only really notice if you pay close attention. Who knew fungus could be so detailed!

Nature

You look at this image and see part of a tree and its branch covered in moss. What's so interesting about that?

Nature

Here you see the moss again, but with much more detail. Maybe moss isn't as simple as it looks from a distance.

Nature

This is just a plain, dried up branch isn't it?

Nature

Here's a closer look. It's something so simple yet so pretty, and you would only notice it if you're truly paying attention.

Nature

This is just a crusted little leaf right?

Nature

In my eyes, it's more than a crusted leaf. I see a heart and see it as a sign that nature loves us just as much we love it!

Nature

These are just dried up weeds, there is no way they have any details.

Nature

Oh, but they do! Once again, so simple, yet so pretty with the many shades of brown.

Additional Gems

I got a little too excited on this little adventure of mine and unfortunately, I forgot to take wide angle shots to go with each of these images. However, these were some of my favorite shots and I wanted to include them on this mini post to show some of the details that we often overlook in nature. I hope this little blog post encouraged you to take a look around you more often and just pay attention to and soak in the smaller, finer, details of life.

Incase you were wondering all images within this blog post were taken with a Canon 5d Mark IV and the 100mm Canon Macro Lens.
